Het project ’Silent Witnesses’ (Stille getuigen) is een woordkunst installatie dat momenten van contemplaties creëert met de nadruk op de relatie van mens en natuur.
Het begrip installatie bestaat uit het aanbrengen van woorden op bomen, en dit door middel van beschermende witkalk voor bomen.
De aangebrachte woorden vinden hun inspiratie in gedichten die ik voor dit project heb geschreven.
Bomen als Stille Getuigen, vertolken de rol van wijzen, en suggereren op een subtiele manier dat we ons met onszelf, op een dieper niveau, opnieuw verbinden.
De woordinstallatie is vergankelijk , net zoals het leven, de natuur, en de seizoenen. De interactie met het woord op de boom is diep of lichtzinnig, ieder ziet en ervaart het op zijn of haar eigen manier.
Het is een moment opname, een bedenking, een bezinning buiten tijd en ruimte— gewoon zijn in het nu. Een moment van introspectie die ons herinnert aan het symbiotische relatie die we als mens hebben met de bomen, de natuur, het Leven zelf.

Le projet ‘Silent Witnesses’ (Témoins sans paroles) est un concept artistique qui accentue la relation entre nature et humain en créant des moments de contemplation.
L’installation consiste à appliquer des mots en chaume protectrice d’arbres sur ceux-ci.
Les mots proviennent d’un recueil de poèmes que j’ai écrit pour ce projet. Les arbres, étant des témoins sans paroles, interprètent les rôles de sages, et nous invitent, subtilement, à nous reconnecter avec nous-mêmes.
L’installation est éphémère comme la vie, la nature, les saisons. L’interaction avec les mots évoque chez chacun de nous une réaction, légère ou profonde.
Chacun la perçoit à sa façon. C’est un arrêt sur image, un momentané, une réflexion, une pensée hors du temps et espace. Un moment d’introspection qui nous reconnecte avec la nature, qui nous rappelle la relation symbiotique que nous avons avec les arbres, la nature, et la Vie.

Words applied on trees in chalk paint, creating moments of contemplation … a word art installation named ‘Silent Witnesses’.
The words are applied in a special chalk paint for trees, which is temporary and will fade away naturally.
The words appearing here are parts of a collection of poems I have written for this project. Trees as Silent Witnesses embody the role of sages; subtly, they suggest we reconnect with ourselves more profoundly.
The poems act as catalysts, initiating a dialogue between nature and humans. They appeal to our core emotions, our symbiotic relation with trees, our connection to the web of existence, to Life itself.
